This NHS service is available to all patients registered with a GP in Scotland. It's designed to save you time and make it easier to get the care you need, when you need it. Our qualified pharmacists are trained to assess and treat a variety of minor illnesses and health concerns—and, in many cases, we can supply treatment on the spot.

 

What Can We Help With?

Pharmacy First Scotland allows you to visit us directly for advice and treatment for a range of common conditions, including:
 

• Urinary tract infections (UTIs) in women (ages 16–64)

• Skin conditions such as eczema, impetigo, or allergic reactions

• Minor respiratory symptoms like sore throat or cough

• Hay fever and allergies

• Minor eye infections

• Thrush and other fungal infections

• Mouth ulcers and cold sores

• Diarrhoea, constipation, or indigestion

• Aches, pains, and minor injuries

You don’t need to book ahead. Just walk into Houlihan Pharmacy, and one of our trained pharmacists will be happy to help. We offer a private consultation room if you’d like to speak in confidence.

If treatment is required, we may be able to supply medicine free of charge under the NHS, depending on your symptoms and eligibility.
